Terms & Conditions

Because your healing journey deserves clarity, care, and commitment.

Cancellation, Refund, & Rescheduling Policy

We follow a NO REFUND policy, no matter the circumstances. Life happens—we get it. That’s why we allow cancellations, followed by rescheduling up to 24 hours before your scheduled appointment with no extra charge.

  • If you cancel within the 24-hour window or miss your appointment without notice, no refund will be issued.

  • You are welcome to reschedule, but the standard session fee will apply for the new appointment.

  • If you simply cancel without rescheduling, no refund will be provided.

  • Each session lasts 45–60 minutes. If you choose to extend beyond this time, it will be billed as an additional session.
  • For video, audio, or chat-based sessions, if you fail to attend without prior notice, the session will be marked as completed, and no refunds will be issued.

Please note: Forgetting your session is not the therapist’s responsibility. It is the client’s duty to track their scheduled appointments. Therapists do not send reminders.

This policy ensures fairness to all clients and respects the dedicated time your therapist sets aside exclusively for you.

Package Validity & Session Policies

Therapy packages do not carry lifetime validity. All sessions included in a package must be used within 4 months of purchase. Unused sessions beyond this period will expire, and no refunds will be issued.

If a client misses a booked session or arrives late without prior notice, the session will be considered as completed. It will not be rescheduled, and the time will not be extended.

As per policy, rescheduling is only allowed with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice.

Additionally, if a session within your package extends beyond 60 minutes, it will be counted as two sessions. No additional sessions will be provided in such cases.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in honoring these guidelines, which help us serve all clients fairly and efficiently.

If you’ve purchased a career counselling session, there would be no therapeutic interventions, and vice versa.

Why This Policy Exists

Unlike doctors who may see 20+ patients a day, therapists dedicate themselves to just a few clients daily. Every session is a carefully reserved space for you, and only you. When appointments are missed without enough notice, it becomes nearly impossible to fill that slot, resulting in lost time, energy, and opportunity for others who may need support.

Think of your session as a reserved seat at a live show: if you miss it, the seat remains empty, but the show still goes on. And just like that seat, your session is non-refundable.

Session Guidelines

  • Punctuality
Please be on time. If you arrive late, we will still end on schedule to respect the next client’s time. No refund or extension will be offered for late arrivals. However, if your therapist is late, your full 45–60 minutes will always be honored.
  • Tech Check
Ensure you have a stable internet connection and that your audio and video are functioning well before your session begins. A disrupted session due to your device or network issues is still counted as a full session. If you are opting for video-based therapy, it is essential that both the client and therapist are visible on camera. Sessions where the client insists on keeping their camera off while expecting the therapist to remain visible violate ethical transparency standards. In such situations, the therapist may also choose to turn off their camera, but the session will continue and be billed as a video session, with no refund applicable.
  • Be Present
Therapy works best when you’re fully engaged. Please avoid multitasking during your session. Treat it as you would an in-person appointment—just because it’s online doesn’t make it casual.

This policy is in place to ensure safety, transparency, and professionalism during online sessions.

Therapeutic Process & Commitment

We all crave quick relief when we’re in pain, but true healing is a process, not a shortcut. Therapy isn’t a magical fix or a one-time solution where everything suddenly changes. Just like when you visit a doctor for the flu, you’re given a course of treatment, not a single pill. Similarly, therapy requires commitment, patience, and consistency.

This space is designed to be safe, supportive, and empowering, where you’re seen, heard, and gently guided at a pace that works for you. From your very first session, you’ll receive evidence-based, personalized therapeutic tools. However, deeper approaches like CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) require time, structure, and ethical pacing.

Every therapist brings a unique style and method, just as different doctors specialize in different areas. If you’ve previously worked with a therapist using a specific approach that your current therapist doesn’t specialize in, it’s important to understand that not all therapists practice the same modalities. In such cases, we recommend finding a professional whose approach aligns with your expectations.

Additionally, if you’ve read about specific therapies (like CBT, ACT, or others) and expect them to be applied in the very first session, please know that it’s not ethically or practically feasible. Ethical therapy builds progressively over time, rooted in rapport, understanding, and assessment.

We primarily work with young adults aged 18–35 and specialize in the following modalities:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Narrative Therapy

  • Mindfulness-Based Interventions

  • Expressive Arts Therapy

  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

  • Affirmative Therapy

  • Polyvagal-Informed Practices

Think of your therapist as a GPS—we offer guidance, reflection, and support, but you remain in the driver’s seat. Your choices and efforts are what move you forward.

Therapy is ethically recommended once a week. Daily therapy with the same client is not advisable. Healing is a process, not a quick fix. Like a medical treatment plan, therapy requires time, effort, and consistency. Your therapist may give you “homework” between sessions—these aren’t assignments, they’re invitations to grow and build emotional muscle.

So take your time. Be patient. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither is emotional resilience.

Scope of Practice

Our therapists are counseling psychologists, trained to support psychological and emotional healing through evidence-based methods. They do not:

  • Diagnose mental disorders

  • Prescribe medications

  • Deal with sexual issues

  • Predict the future, read minds, or offer astrological or spiritual advice.

  • Offer relationship or family advice in the role of a counselor unless relevant to individual therapy goals.

If you suspect you may have a clinical diagnosis or require psychiatric medication, we encourage you to consult a clinical psychologist or psychiatrist, depending on your needs.

Your well-being is our priority, and our role is to walk alongside you with professionalism, compassion, and respect.

Therapist Fit & Discontinuation

Your comfort matters.

  • If you feel your therapist isn’t the right fit after the first session, you are welcome to discontinue.
Please note: no refund will be provided.

  • If your therapist believes your concerns fall outside their professional scope, they will refer you to a more appropriate professional. Again, no refund will be issued in this case either.

Choosing the right therapist is a serious decision. We’re here to support that process with honesty and care.

Class Policy

  • No refunds will be issued under any circumstances.

  • For missed group classes, a recording will be shared.

  • For missed one-on-one classes, the content will be adjusted in the remaining sessions—no refunds.

  • If the teacher misses a class, it will be rescheduled.

  • Classes are held on Google Meet; please join from a laptop. Cameras are not required—we value learning over appearances—but active participation is expected.

  • All study materials and notes will be provided.

  • Certificates (if applicable) will be issued only after all tests and assignments are completed. Poor performance may require resubmission.

Policy for Self-Help & Downloadables

  • All purchases are final. No refunds will be issued, regardless of the situation.

Emergencies & Boundaries

We’re here to support you, but we are not an emergency service.

  • In urgent situations, please reach out to a psychiatrist, medical doctor, or emergency room.

  • Your therapist will also provide you with self-help materials to support you between sessions.

Please do not contact your therapist outside of scheduled sessions, unless it’s related to rescheduling or emergencies. Session-related discussions can be picked up in your next appointment—we promise to hold space for you there.

Privacy Policy, Confidentiality & Ethics

Everything you share with us and in your therapy sessions is confidential. However, in rare situations—such as when there is a risk of harm to you, someone else, or in compliance with the law—this confidentiality may be ethically and legally breached.

Clients are kindly requested not to ask therapists for personal information, including but not limited to:

  • Age, marital status, relationship status, or family details

  • Home address

  • Personal phone number

  • Personal email ID

  • Social media handles

Your therapist is a highly qualified and experienced professional whose role is to support your healing, not to form a personal relationship. They are ethically and professionally bound not to disclose personal details, as these are not relevant to the therapeutic process.

Please understand that maintaining these boundaries is essential for building a safe, respectful, and effective therapeutic space.

We maintain zero tolerance for unprofessional, abusive, or harassing behavior. Any such conduct will lead to appropriate action, including possible termination of services.

Final Note: Your Growth Matters

Therapy and learning are powerful investments of your time, money, and energy. We honor that—and we’re here to walk beside you, professionally and compassionately.

Before proceeding, kindly ensure you understand and agree to these terms. If you have any questions or doubts, feel free to discuss them with us.

By booking or purchasing our services, you acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions.
Failure to read them does not exempt you from their application, and we will not be held responsible for any misunderstandings that may arise later.

With warmth, boundaries, and belief in your journey,
PsycheZee
